How to maximize the information transfer via a quantum noisy channel? - Gershon Kurizki

We discuss a key concept in single - photon communications: quantum channel capacity, which measures information transfer in the presence of noise or decoherence and ways of enhancing this capacity by a combination of an appropriate measurement basis, entanglement and dynamic control (pulse shaping). We next examine the implications of path-phase complementarity on the input-output mutual information in such scenarios.
